This page explains what information PlanRio ("we", "us") collects when you visit planrio.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. This is a short, plain-English summary — not a legal contract. If you have questions, email hello@planrio.com.
What we collect
- Usage analytics. In production, Google Analytics may receive page views, referring page, device/browser information and approximate location. When analytics is available, PlanRio also records interactions with selected booking links, such as the page and partner clicked.
- Advertising and attribution. Google’s advertising and Funding Choices services load after the page is ready or you interact with the site. Ad requests are limited to a small set of eligible pages and require the site’s approval, configuration and consent checks. Travelpayouts attribution tools and tracked partner links may record that a visit or booking came from PlanRio.
- Emails you send us. If you email hello@planrio.com, we receive the address and information in your message so we can respond. We do not provide a public account or comment form.
We do not sell personal data. Google Analytics is enabled in production; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, its consent-mode storage defaults start as denied and can be updated through Google’s consent controls. AdSense requests are separately gated and are not made on every page. The specific vendors involved may process technical identifiers under their own terms.
Cookies
PlanRio and its vendors may use cookies or similar storage for site functionality, analytics, consent preferences, affiliate attribution and—where enabled—advertising. Google and other partners may use identifiers to measure ads, prevent fraud, limit frequency or personalize advertising when permitted by your settings and applicable consent requirements. The exact cookies depend on which services are enabled and the choices you make.

Third-party partners we link to—such as GetYourGuide—may set their own cookies after you click through, subject to their own privacy policies.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links on PlanRio are affiliate links, including GetYourGuide and accommodation, transport or travel-service partners routed through Travelpayouts. If you book after clicking one, a partner may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Tracking parameters and partner cookies may identify PlanRio as the referral source. Your choices
- You can review or withdraw your advertising and analytics consent at any time using .
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics storage starts denied until the relevant consent signal is received. Advertising also checks consent before an ad request.
- You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
- You can ask us to delete any personal correspondence by emailing hello@planrio.com.
- EEA and UK visitors have rights under applicable data-protection law—email us to exercise them.
Children
PlanRio is a general-audience travel guide and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top.
