Centro: CCBB Rio has rotating exhibitions, performances and a large indoor building; the Real Gabinete Português is a short cultural stop when open. Check dates, entry arrangements and each venue's weekly closure before planning lunch around it.
Botafogo: a current film screening, a bookshop or a sheltered café makes a flexible local afternoon. Look at the cinema's same-day programme rather than relying on an old list of titles and showtimes.
