About 22 km along the coast via Ipanema, Leblon and São Conrado. Uber runs 30–45 minutes (R$45–75) depending on traffic; the BRT TransOeste busway is 50–60 minutes. Rush hour (17:00–20:00) can push the drive past an hour. They are not close — Barra is a self-contained city, not a Copacabana suburb you'll pop between.

Barra da Tijuca. Cidade do Rock (Rock in Rio) and Cidade das Artes are both in Barra, so basing there saves you a 60–90 minute late-night trip each way.
