September is a good month to notice Rio's green city rather than only its sand. Jardim Botânico, Parque Lage and the Lagoa edge fit naturally together, while Tijuca requires its own route and weather decision. If dates cross a festival block, compare splitting the stay only when the saved late-night travel outweighs the hassle of moving luggage. One or two shows rarely justify sacrificing the entire first-time Rio location. Read minimum-stay and cancellation rules because an event premium attached to a non-refundable room can become expensive dead weight if the ticket plan changes.
