A visitor can keep training in Rio, but “day pass” does not mean one price or policy across the city. Chains publish different plans, some studios sell trial classes, and CrossFit boxes set their own experience and booking rules. Big-box & chains
- Smart Fit — use the official Rio unit finder for the current address, hours and membership terms. Its presence in a neighbourhood does not guarantee a visitor day pass or 24-hour access at that branch.
- Bio Ritmo — its visitor help page says a daily pass can be purchased at reception and the price varies by unit. Call the Rio branch first to confirm its current price, access, identification and payment requirements.
- Bodytech — the official plan page currently advertises BT Pass, where payment is based on training days. Check current eligibility, participating branch, timetable and conditions before relying on it for a short stay.
- Companhia Athletica — the previous Botafogo Praia Shopping suggestion is not a verified visitor pass. Confirm that the branch is still operating at your intended address and ask for current single-session access before planning a visit.
Boutique studios worth the price
- Velocity Cycling (previously listed for Ipanema) — check the operator's current Rio studio address and class timetable; the old Ipanema location and R$90 drop-in claim are not verified for 2026.
- Espaço Nirvana (previously listed for Leblon) — confirm its current location, modality and whether it sells a visitor session; the old reformer-Pilates and R$150 claims should not be used as current booking information.
- Nébula Fitness (previously listed for Botafogo) — current operation and the old R$120 visitor price could not be confirmed from a current operator source. Verify directly before travelling.
- Rebel Movement (previously listed for Barra) — the old mobility/strength description and R$180 drop-in are not verified as a current visitor offer. Check the live studio listing and booking conditions.
CrossFit boxes with drop-ins
- Ipanema — search the current CrossFit affiliate directory, then contact the box for its visitor policy, class level, language and advance booking requirements.
- Botafogo — Crown Botafogo's current site lists cross/functional group training and partner pass programmes. Ask whether a visitor can book a single class directly; a partner membership listing is not the same as a cash drop-in.
- Barra — confirm the box is a current affiliate and accepts an individual visit before travelling. The previous R$110 price and “largest facility” claim are not verified current terms.
What to confirm before you go
Send the venue your dates, ask for the total price in reais and whether it requires CPF, photo ID, a waiver, advance booking or a local fitness-network account. Confirm the class language and exact branch. For a single workout, compare the journey and visitor price with your hotel's gym or a public outdoor station.
